Day One Page Itinerary
Get Breakfast at LP Espresso
LP Espresso is a great coffee & breakfast with a large inside space and a great patio. We tried the avocado toast and a breakfast burrito, both were delicious. The coffee is also on point.
Tour Upper or Lower Antelope Canyon
Antelope Canyon is a breathtaking slot canyon known for its flowing, wave-like formations in vivid shades of orange and purple. Sunlight filters through the narrow passageways, illuminating suspended sand particles and creating an otherworldly glow. Located near Page, Arizona, on land owned by the Navajo Nation, this natural wonder was sculpted over centuries by wind and water carving through the rock. Access to the canyon is exclusively through guided tours, offering a unique opportunity to explore its awe-inspiring beauty while respecting its cultural and geological significance.
Tip: Book in advance, these fill up! Here are some options from Get Your Guide:

Hike The Beehive Trail (Nicknamed “The New Wave”)
Note: You can also go see “The Wave” from Page. It’s an hour away, and you’ll need a high clearance vehicle and a permit. I didn’t add this to my itinerary, but if you want to try for the permit and get it, you can adjust as needed.
The Beehive Trail is a scenic and easy 1.9-mile loop that winds through unique slickrock formations. Often referred to as “The New Wave” due to its intriguing wave-like patterns, it offers a glimpse of nature’s artistry without requiring the permits needed for the iconic Wave hike in the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness Area. While it may not rival the grandeur of the Wave, this trail is accessible, beautiful, and a fantastic alternative if you’re short on time, don’t have a high-clearance vehicle, or weren’t able to snag a permit. Bonus: we had the entire trail to ourselves! Learn more

Take In The View Of Horseshoe Bend At Sunset
Horseshoe Bend is a stunning natural wonder where the Tallapoosa River carves a dramatic u-turn through towering sandstone cliffs, creating an unforgettable panoramic view. The 1.5-mile out-and-back trail leading to the overlook is popular and relatively easy, making it accessible for most hikers. While the trail can get crowded during peak times, the breathtaking sight at the end is well worth the journey. Be sure to bring a camera and take your time soaking in the sweeping vistas—this is a spot you won’t want to rush! Note that you’ll have to pay around $15 to park (2022).
Tip: Get here at least an hour before sunset since the sun dips down below the horizon. Bring a picnic and watch the sun go down.

Eat Dinner at Blue Wine and Tapas
Blue Wine & Tapas is a bar/restaurant with a small selections of tapas like flatbread, hummus, and other bites. It has a small town vibe, but the food was incredible and they have a nice wine selection. We really enjoyed this spot.
Day Two Page Itinerary
Go Boating or Jet-skiing on Lake Powell
Take a thrilling jet-ski ride through Navajo Canyon on the shimmering turquoise waters of Lake Powell. Heading out early in the morning, we found the narrow waterways almost completely deserted, allowing us to zip through the stunning scenery in serene solitude. While this adventure is a splurge—around $360 per jet ski—it was hands down one of the most breathtaking and unforgettable experiences of our three-week road trip. If you’re looking for an exhilarating way to explore Lake Powell, this is an adventure you won’t regret.
Tip: Bring water, snacks and sunscreen, there isn’t really anywhere to stop to get them on the lake, and there is plenty of dry storage on most jet-skis.

Hike the Hanging Gardens Trail
If you still have energy after jet-skiing, consider a quick 1.2-mile hike through the Arizona desert to discover an unexpected oasis of lush greenery. These hanging gardens thrive thanks to a natural water source that seeps through sandstone cliffs, creating the perfect environment for plants to flourish in this arid landscape. It’s a short and fascinating trek that offers a surprising contrast to the desert surroundings. View trail details

Dine at Blue Buddha Sushi Lounge
All the tasty restaurants seem to be in the same strip mall. Blue Buddha Sushi Lounge doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s a really large and vivacious restaurant with a vibrant energy and quality sushi. We went on a Thursday night and it was really busy! If you want an energetic vibe and good food, this is a great place.
